IF YOUR GOVERNMENT DOESN'T WANT TO HELP YOU DURING A PANDEMIC, GOOD LUCK IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS. YOU'LL BE SCREWED.

Regardless of what political philosophy you hold, there has to be some part of you that believes that your government is supposed to aid you. To some degree. It’s their job to recognize the circumstances and the state of affairs, and act accordingly. Not to only save you when we go to war, but help keep you alive from other forms of attack. Coronavirus has attacked us. If it was a ground surge by China, we’d all do whatever we could to beat them back. So why won't we and our government do everything we can to turn back the “China Virus” foreign invader? What is the national strategy to defeat Covid-19? Sitting in the Oval Office office and repeating, “This isn’t my fault. They never should have let it escape” is not a plan. You think troops in a battle want to hear from their general, “Remember, I didn’t get us into this war, so whatever happens to you, don’t blame me!” What kind of pussy-assed general would that be? That General would be relieved of duty. Give us some orders to win this battle and we can discuss how we got here after. What is this State-by-State bullshit? During 9/11 it wasn't a State of New York problem. After Pearl Harbor it wasn't a State of Hawaii problem. NO. It was a United States problem. Trump has called himself a wartime president, so start putting together a National wartime strategy. But we all know that’s not going to happen and the right will keep chipping away at whatever assistance and entitlements keeping us alive now, and into the future.

Remember this as we move towards November: If you're going to vote in people that would deny you assistance during a pandemic, good luck after we get through this. They'll never give you money for anything. But I guess that's your small government philosophy, and you believe you needing this help now will only be a one-time life disruption. You’ll be fine after this, so voting in people that will actually help others will go back to being last on your governmental philosophies checklist. I get wanting limited government, but damn, we have to have some government. And no matter what size it has to work. And it has to want to protect its entire population. Not just people in Red States or Blue States. All its people. A ground war and troops aren’t the only way to show your population that you’ve got their back. Giving them the ability to live with the financial weapons that are at your disposal is also a way to protect your population. We seem to have all the money in the world for war for as long as necessary, but congress is bitching over $600 bucks. We’ve had 3 Vietnam Wars worth of deaths in the US in the last 6 months and the virus is still running rampant. And you’re still worried about the “takers”?
